About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team for 2 days per week: Wednesday and Friday (on a permanent part time basis).   

The role is pivotal in supporting us with general bookkeeping services in house. You will work across payroll, accounts payable / receivable. This role would suit an experienced Bookkeeper seeking a new part time challenge, who is eager to work within a forward-thinking environment where flexibility and culture are valued highly.

About You

Key Responsibilities:


  • Accounts payable, including scheduling and management of payments.

  • Account receivable, including raising and following up invoices.

  • Processing weekly staff payroll 

  • Managing staff expenses 

  • Payroll tax management, reconciliation, and reporting

  • Accounts reconciliation 

  • Co-ordination and Communication with company accountants and other vendors such as insurance providers

  • Financial reporting as needed


Essential Skills:


  • Relevant Tertiary qualification (Accounting, Business, or other relevant discipline) 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role 

  • Experience with XERO

  • Solid commercial acumen with the ability to create and review basic commercial documentation 

  • Strong experience with office technology with skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced organisational skills 

  • A motivated individual, and a self-starter 

  • Flexible attitude 

  • The ability to work unsupervised.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced collaborative environment

  • Exposure to professional services or technology industries would be advantageous
