SO WHAT EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES WILL 2012 BRING?
“Now more than ever, there’s a sense of constant change,” commented Kareem Tawansi, CEO of software development provider, Solentive Software.
“Some of the biggest changes on the horizon include the upcoming release of Windows 8 with its dual interface options – the traditional Explorer mode and the new Metro mode which has been optimised for mobile and tablet computing.
“Another big change is the rollout of 4G networks. This new network will take mobile computing to a whole new level with substantially faster transfer speeds and less connection latency, making it a more reliable network.
“Other new emerging technologies that organisations may benefit from are more advanced virtualisation options that will facilitate secure ‘bring your own device’ (BYOD) initiatives and faster internet connection through the proposed NBN (National Broadband Network) rollout,” advised Kareem.
“Yet again, the way we work and play may well be completely altered in the next two years,” concluded Kareem.
These are certainly interesting times in terms of technological advancement.
